Congenital heart disease has profoundly shaped Jane’s life and career trajectory. She was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, which was repaired during infancy, and had a pulmonary valve replacement in 2013. These experiences and related events have motivated Jane to advance efforts to promote health access and preventive health care. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, School of Social Work and focuses her research on addressing health disparities among racial/ethnic minority and immigrant communities. Jane is an alumni of the University of Notre Dame (BA) and received her MSW from Columbia University and PhD from New York University. Jane enjoys spending time with her family, playing basketball, snacking, and watching Property Brothers.
