Matt is a Partner with the public accounting firm Mowery & Schoenfeld, located in Lincolnshire, IL. He leads the Advisory team, which focuses on implementing accounting best practices, procedures, and technologies for small-to-medium sized businesses. While in public accounting, Matt has served as the CFO for a multitude of private equity backed businesses as well as owner/operator businesses. Prior to his career in public accounting, Matt was the controller at 95 Percent Group, Inc (for profit), the CFO at Senior Services Associates, Inc (non-profit) and worked in accounting at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service in the United States Air Force.

Matt received his M.S. in Taxation and his B.S. in Finance from Northern Illinois University, and he is a certified public accountant (CPA).  

Matt has been a CHF volunteer since 2016 and previously served on the Illinois board and, most recently, the national finance committee.
